I have been inspired by the gorgeous posies for my contribution to this Crafty Blog Hop. The group are all sharing projects that are taking their inspiration from the Gorgeous Posies Project kit and stamp set. This is a stunning kit, featuring a beautiful palette of colours.
My Project
I decided I would combine a couple of things in my project.
Every Wednesday I post a video in my “What shall we make?” series. It usually is a technique or a fancy fold card. I thought, this week, I would combine the colours and images from the Gorgeous Posies with a fancy fold card. A card that a fellow demonstrator called Teri Pocock had created caught my eye.
Teri’s Diamond Top Easel Card was based on a 6″ square card base. I altered the sizes very slightly to enable me to create the card base with a sheet of A4 card.
I combined the “Gorgeous Posies” stamp set with the “Prized Peony” stamp set to create the floral panels. The colours I used were those listed in the Project Kit. I added some gold touches with gold embossing powder.
If you would like to see how the card was made, you can watch this video.
- The card base was 14.8cm x 29.6cm, scored at 14.8cm.
- The Diamond panel was 10.5cm square.
