The Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin kit is a gorgeous box full of loveliness and I have had fun playing with it
We had a virtual gathering last week to pull out all the elements of our kits and to create our cards. I made one of each design following the instructions and then the others I made tweaks so they were all different.
These kits are always such a tonic for me, because I can just craft without making major decisions about what stamps, dies, colours etc I am going to use. They don’t, however, take away the opportunity to get creative with what I have before me. It is as if someone has designed a class for me.
The foiling on the cardstock and the foil die cut sentiments give these cards such opulence. I also love the effect of stamping the Just Jade wreath over the top of the pre-printed Soft Sea Foam wreath.
These beautiful flowers are so eye catching and the embossed cable knit backgrounds are a great addition.
Alternative Projects
Of course once you’ve completed the cards in the kit, there is still plenty of opportunity to play. I recently used the stamp set from this kit on a Facebook Live.
Not only does the stamp set have some great images, but there are also some really useful sentiments included.
By using the wreath stamp to stamp multiple images on a background you can quickly create this Christmas card. The addition of some red rhinestones to the central wreath gives it some bling.
This flower image can of course be used at any time of the year, but we gave it some Christmas sparkle by adding a gold embossed greeting and some gold embossed dots. The flowers were coloured with Stampin’ Blends.
