I have been layering elements on a Christmas Card for this blog post.
My project is for the Stampin’ For Christmas Monthly Blog Blog Hop. This hop is designed to encourage us all to create a few cards each month in preparation for Christmas.
Layering Elements on a Christmas Card
For my project I stamped some Poinsettias from the Ringed in Nature stamp set. There are three poinsettias in total, two in Real Red and one in Garden Green. The top image had the centre stamped in Crushed Curry. Having die cut the pieces, they were layered up.
Using a blending brush, some Crumb Cake ink was added onto a stitched white rectangle. Using Real Red ink the sentiment was added to the bottom left of the white rectangle. The poinsettia was layered up on the stitched rectangle, along with a large embossed tree ring, a die cut grid, some garden green leaves and a bow made from Linen Thread. This rectangle was added to a Soft Suede rectangle, which was then stuck to a Basic White card base.
To finish, some gold sequins were added to the card front.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects

Very nice technique and card design. I love the light you’ve kept with the white background.
