Layering Shapes and Patterns on Cards

I enjoyed all the creative possibilities of Layering Shapes and Patterns on Cards with the new Sun Prints Suite from Stampin’ Up on a recent Live.

The bundle consists of a Cling Mount Rubber stamp and a coordinating die set. As well as cutting out the stamped images, there are also dies to create foliage pieces, a label and a wreath. The stamp set is a DistINKtive set, which gives all the gorgeous layered, multi tonal effects on the stamped image.

The Designer Series Papers are in a colour palette of Blues and Gray Granite and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder is simply stunning.

My Cards With Welcoming Windows Projects

This first card is a quick and easy design that features blocks of the Designer Series Papers, topped with a stamped label. Some of the die cut foliage pieces have been added to embellish, along with some Solid Faceted Dots and Gray Granite twine.

This second card has fun with some hexagonals from the Beautiful Shapes dies. A die cut piece of Designer Series Paper is teamed with cardstock frames and an hexagonal sentiment piece. The foliage in this card has been stamped and die cut. Classic Matte Dots in Grey and Night of Navy Twine gives the finishing touches.

How Can I Help

This stunning suite does lend itself very well to creating cards with a more masculine feel, but it would be easy to change the look completely simply by bringing in different colours.
