For this blog post I have created a card looking at ways of making the most pf your patterned paper

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

The Stamping With Friends Blog Hop happens twice a month. This hop has a theme of Designer Series Paper.

Making The Most of Your Patterned Paper

Stampin’ Up! has such a gorgeous selection of Designer Series Papers, so it is great to find different ways to showcase them.

For my project I used the Celebratory Sips pack of paper. This is bursting with images of fruity drinks and cocktails, but it also has some really pretty florals.

My card was also inspired by a Card Sketch.

For my card, I cut a 3.5cm strip off of the right-hand side of the card front. I used two different patterns of DSP on the left-hand panel. Then I used one of the more generic designs – a green striped pattern – for the background on the centre panel. I stamped some leaves from the Cheers & Sips bundle onto the paper – you can always add more detail to papers using stamps, or ink blending.

Lots of the papers have elements you can cut out and I fussy cut lots of the flowers from the paper to fill my die cut vase.

Of course there are lots of ways of creating backgrounds with your card stock to add on your projects. For this card I have used an embossed panel, using one of the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder.

The insert was decorated with some stamped elements.

The card was finished with some Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon and some Holographic Resin Dots.
