For this blog hop we are featuring retiring products and I have showcased some of them on this monochromatic tic tac toe challenge.
This blog hop sees a group of Demonstrators from around the world come together twice a month for the purpose of sharing some ideas around a theme. Today you will see ideas for using products that aren’t going to be around for too much longer, because they are retiring at the end of April, or when stocks run out.
My Monochromatic Tic Tac Toe Challenge Project
I was featuring the Floral Heart Dies as well as the Very Versaille Stamp Set on a recent Live. They were also being used in conjunction with a Tic Tac Toe Challenge I had posted on my Customer Facebook Group.
I love these style of challenges where you pick 3 elements either horizontally, vertically or diagonally to inspire your project. One of the cards I created was using the left to right diagonal and then the other took the three central vertical elements.
Monochrome Easel Card
This first card was a square easel card in shades of purple. It used the dies from the Floral Heart Dies and also the sentiment from the coordinating “Always in my Heart” stamp set. The Designer Series Paper was the 2021-2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ pack in Fresh Freesia. In addition, the inner heart on the card was embossed with a Dotty Heart Embossing folder.
The great thing about easel cards is the easy way they fold flat to go in an envelope. This card was created for an anniversary to fit the Tic Tac toe challenge, but would be equally suitable for a Wedding or Engagement card.
Monochrome Thinking of You Card
This second card is similarly a monchrome card. I used the Very Versaille stamp set and Soft Succulent as the colour throughout. The script and leaves were firstly stamped onto a mat of Soft Succulent card. This was then distressed around the edge with a pair of scissors and a Blending Brush was used to add Soft Succulent ink. A piece of torn Shimmer Vellum was added across the centre along with some Soft Succulent ribbon. Finally some pearls were coloured with a Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend.
