My Monochrome Christmas Card

A monochromatic Christmas Card using the Peaceful Place papers and Peaceful Deer stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I have recently run a class creating a concertina memory album using a Mini Paper Pumpkin box and these beautiful Peaceful Place Designer Series Papers. I had some pieces of the paper laying on my desk after designing it and they were just shouting to be used to create Christmas cards and so my project was born.

To create my card base I cut a 4.5 cm strip away from the card front. Both the front and back panel have a Basic Gray mat. The front of the card is a piece of the foiled Designer Series Paper. The Basic White card on the back panel of the card has been stamped with trees and snowflakes from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. The snowflakes were heat embossed in silver to reflect the paper on the front. The greeting was also heat embossed onto a strip of Basic Black card. Some rhinestones were added to finish the project.

I added a panel of Basic White to the inside of the card to write my greetings on.

This is a very simple card, but the papers really make it pop.
