Monochrome Emboss Resist

On this post I am creating a monochrome emboss resist card.

Each week Demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations Community take part in a Monochromatic Insta Hop over on Instagram. Each week a different colour is chosen and the participants create a monochromatic card.

This week the colour was Coastal Cabana.

A Trio Of Monochromatic Projects

This card uses the Prairie Grass Stamp Set, which is becoming quite a favourite with me. I used two of the images to stamp onto Basic White card with Versamark and then I heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder. With a Blending Brush i then added Coastal Cabana ink, , making the colour at the bottom deeper and it getting lighter as it went up the mat. To this mat, I then added some Coastal cabana Splatters , and a greeting. Next I took some of the Metallic textures Rub Ons and cut out small pieces of the splatter effect silver ones and added them to the mat. These Rub Ons are really easy to use and create a real metallic pop.

I backed my mat with some white card and tied some silver ribbon around it.

I distressed the edges of a mat of Coastal Cabana card and then scrunched it up before flattening it out. Using my Blending Brush again, I added Coastal Cabana ink around the edges and to highlight the cracks. I adhered this mat to a Coastal Cabana Card base. The stamped mat was added to the card front with dimensionals.

Of course I needed to decorate an insert for the card.
