For today’s post, I have one stamp set, very different cards.
This is my contribution to this month’s Stampin’ for Christmas monthly Blog Hop. We are a group of Demonstrators who inspire everyone to make a few Christmas cards each month throughout the year. We are of course edging ever closer towards the Festive period, so my post today illustrates the versatility you can get from just one bundle.
One Stamp Set, Very Different Cards.
The bundle I used to create my cards was the Decorated with happiness bundle. With both the stamps and the dies you have opportunities to create images of baubles hanging from the branches of a pine tree.
Vintage Tree
This first card takes a Crumb cake layer and adds Evening Evergreen ink blended around the edge, before stamping the pine in first and second generation stamping. Some die cut Evening Evergreen pine branches were also added. A few snowflakes were also randomly stamped in the background with Evening Evergreen.
The baubles were die cut from gold foil and the inset pieces were cut from Red glimmer paper. The tree was decorated with red rhinestones and a Linen thread bow was added to one of the baubles.
Contemporary Tree
This second tree uses bright colours to create a more contemporary style of card. The baubles have been “coloured” with the coordinating in fill stamps in Second Generation stamping. There is also a shadow added to the pine branches. The baubles were all die cut with the coordinating dies and then layered up on the trees.
Some of the Parakeet Party Baker’s Twine has been added behind the Polished Pink sentiment. This card does indeed provide Boughs of jolly. Some sparkle has been added with the Iridescent Rhinestones.
Watch The Video
You can see both of these cards being created on this video from a recent live.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
