For this month’s Stampin’ For Christmas Blog Hop, I would like to share the patterned paper poinsettias that I created on a recent Live.
I was featuring some of the products that are going to be retiring very soon and can currently be found in the Last Chance section of the online store.
The Poinsettia Dies and coordinating Poinsettia Petals stamp set were used alongside the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack.
Patterned Paper Poinsettias
I decided to create a DL sized card for this project. These cards are created from 2/3 of a piece of A4 cardstock. The 19.8cm x 21cm piece of cardstock is scored at 9.9cm on the shorter size. If you are working with Imperial Cardstock, the equivalent card would be a 8 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″ on the short size.
The die cut pieces were blended with Merry Merlot ink to help the embossed feature pop. The neutral paper was used alongside some gold foil and gold thread to give some extra glamour.
Another DL Card
During my live I created a second card with The Stellar Birthday Stamp set. The blended ink background illustrated an emboss resist technique and used lots of retiring In Colors.
You can see both the cards from this Live on this video
Let’s Hop
I hope you enjoyed my projects. Do make sure you hop along and see all the other Christmas inspiration in the hop.

I love how you used the Poinsettia! The DSP gives it such a nice, different look!
Fabulous card, I love the poinsettias set, will be keeping that in my stash 🙂
I love the combination of the dies with the dsp. Gives it a nice classic look. TFS!
