A small collection of quick & easy Christmas projects for you today.

Welcome to this hop which is made up of Demonstrators from around the world who are a part of the Crafty Collaborations group. This month we are getting together to bring you projects under the theme “Merry Christmas”. I am going to share with you the three quick & easy projects we created on a recent Festive games Night.

These projects need to be something I can send out as a kit and which doesn’t require any stamping. Not all of my Games Night attendees are regular crafters, and we hold the event over Zoom, so they need to be able to complete their projects with equipment they all have to hand. We also fit three projects in along with rounds of Bingo and other games. For this event we had a Christmas Quiz and a scavenger hunt.

My Quick & Easy Christmas Projects

Candle House

A quick & easy Christmas project made with Stampin' Up products, creating a house that holds a battery tealight,

This first project is a little house that holds a battery operated tea light as a decoration for the home. They are quick and simple.

The main body is created with a 29.7cm x 4cm strip of card. Score it on the long side at 6cm, and 11cm in from each end and then a score line down the middle at 14.9cm. The equivalent in imperial measurements would be 11 3/4″ x 1 1/2″, scored at 2 3/8″ and 4 3/8″ each end and then down the middle at 5 7/8″

Fold along all of these score lines in mountain folds. The score line at the centre becomes the apex of the roof. The two end pieces overlap and are stuck to each other to form the base.

The 10cm x 4cm (4″ x1 1/2″) piece of DSP for the roof comes from the Painted Christmas Designer Series paper. This paper will go into hibernation in January, but will be back next Christmas. The paper is folded in half and stuck to the roof section.

The Designer series paper around the bottom comes from the same pack. This measures 14cm x 2cm and is scored at 4cm and 10cm. In imperial that is 5 3/8″ x 3/4″ and is scored at 1 1/2″ and 3 7/8″. Wrap the paper around the front, and the two side pieces stuck in place.

For the decoration, I die cut some foliage and holly leaves with the Christmas trimmings dies. Finally, I added a red sequin from the Sequins for Everything collection and a bow.

A small Christmas decoration that is quick & easy and uses Stampin' Up products

Gift Bag

a small treat bag that is quick & easy and uses Stampin' Up's Ever Eden paper.

These cute little gift bags are really easy to make and simple to scale up or down in size.

My bags started as a 4″/10cm square piece of Eden’s Garden Specialty Designer series Paper. On the back of the paper, add a strip of tear & tape along the bottom and then down the right hand edge. Remove the backing from the side piece and roll the paper around to make a tube before sticking in place. Next, remove the backing from the tape along the bottom and stick the two sides together.

For the top of the bag, you need to squeeze the two edges together at a 90 degree angle to the bottom. As you look down on the top of the bag, if the bottom 2 corners face west and east, the top two will face north and south. You can stick the top of the bag together with tape. Alternatively punch a hole through the two sides and tie with ribbon.

To decorate the bag, I have cut scalloped circles from the Tasteful Labels dies in Evening Evergreen cardstock and Gold Shimmer vellum. I have also cut gold vellum foliage pieces using the Eden Dies and punched stars in Evening Evergreen and vellum using the Starlit punch.

To finish I added one of the Garden Gems in the centre.

Quick Cards

Quick & Easy Christmas cards using the Sweet Stockings paper from Stampin' Up!

These quick cards feature woodgrain effect Designer Series paper from the upcoming Heart & Home pack and fussy cut stockings from the retiring Sweet Stockings pack. The “joy” sentiment was cut with the Playful Alphabet dies and the holly was from the stockings dies.

Let’s Hop
