Today’s project is a quick & easy men’s card created for this month’s Creativity Abounds Blog Hop.
The Creativity Abounds Design Team are a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world that are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own.
You may be starting here or have come from someone else’s blog – either way there is a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed – so if you are looking for a demonstrator in your country, then these demonstrators would love to look after you with your Stampin’ Up!® shopping or if you would like to join our Stampin’ Up!® teams.
These monthly blog hops also introduce you to our latest Tutorial Bundle containing lots of different inspiring projects.
My Quick & Easy Men’s Card.
This card uses the Vintage Tools stamp set and the Picture This dies. The Designer Series Paper comes from the He’s The Man pack, a delightfully masculine collection which is part of the He’s the Man suite.
Instructions
The Picture This die set contains two dies, one that cuts stitched circle apertures and then this one that cuts stitched rectangles. I firstly cut the frame from a piece of Designer Series Paper and then cut a mat of Basic White cardstock that was just fractionally smaller.
Using a pencil, I marked on the Basic White card the positioning of the apertures. A selection of tools were then stamped and extra colour added with watercolor pencils. Using a Blending Brush and Early Espresso ink, some shading was also added around the tools. The Designer Series Paper frame was then stuck over the top. The checked Early Espresso layer of Designer Series Paper had a piece gutted out of the centre, before having the stamped mat stuck on top. This whole piece was then added to a tent fold Early Espresso card base with dimensionals.
Next, the sentiment was stamped onto some Basic White card in Cajun Craze ink and then the individual words cut out. The Designer Series Paper that was earlier gutted from the centre of the mat was used to create the backing for these words.
To finish the card front, some Cajun Craze splatters were added with a Stampin’ Write marker and then some Brushed Metallic dots were stuck in place.
Finally, the card insert was stamped and the bottom right-hand corner again had some Early espresso ink blended over it.
