For this blog hop I have created a repeat stamping Easter card.

The theme of this Stamping with friends Blog Hop was Easter/Spring and the cute Easter Friends stamp set was on my desk, so that seemed like a good starting point. On a recent Live, I had used both the rabbit and the duckling, so it only seemed fair that the chick should have some fun.

Repeat Stamping Easter Card

I stamped the little chick across a strip of Basic White card using So saffron ink. An additional chick was stamped onto an oddment of Basic White. The chicks all had some soft additional colouring added with Watercolor pencils.

Using the Basic Border dies I cut a zig zag border in So Saffron card for the top and bottom of the stamped strip. These zig zags were reminiscent of broken egg shells that the chicks had hatched from.

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock with the Gingham embossing folder and stuck it to a So Saffron Card base. A length of White Frayed ribbon was attached to the bottom of the stamped panel before sticking it to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in So saffron ink and I cut around it before matting it onto some So saffron card and cutting around it again.

Having fussy cut my extra chick I layered him over the top of one of the stamped images with some dimensionals. The little flowers that are scattered around the sentiment come from the Peach dies.
