For today’s post I have created a card that uses a sanding technique with two one cardstock from Stampin’ Up!

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Piano Day.
We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Sanding Technique With Two Tone Cardstock

To create this card, I have embossed some Two -Tone Azure Afternoon cardstock with the Soft Wave Embossing folder and then using some sandpaper, I gently sanded the surface of the cardstock to reveal the white core on the raised sections. I distressed the edges of the two tone mat before wrapping some line n thread around it and adding it to the Night of Navy card front.
The die cut shells and starfish come from the Notes & Totes bundle and are cut in Petal Pink and Crumb Cake card. They have been mounted on to a Balmy Blue Labelled With Love punched label.
A Linen Thread bow has been added behind the label before being stuck to the card front with dimensionals.
Some of the Irregular Riverside Pearls were added to the label.
To create the “relax” sentiment, I die cut the letters using the Alphabet A La Mode dies in both Night of Navy and Balmy Blue card. The letters have been stuck together, so they are slightly offset, before being added to the card.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects’
