For this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop, I have used scrappy strips for Halloween and have created this fun creature in a burst of black, orange and glitter.

My Scrappy Strips for Halloween Project

You can find the list of products that I used at the bottom of the post.
A4 Metric | Letter Size Imperial | |
Pumpkin Pie Card base | 14.9cm x 21cm Scored at 10.5cm on the long side | 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side |
Basic Black | 14.4cm x 10cm | 5 1/4″ x 4“ |
Pumpkin Pie | 13.9cm x 9.5cm | 5″ x 3 3/4″ |
Basic White insert | 13.9cm x 9.5cm | 5″ x 3 3/4″ |
Instructions
- Fold the card base along the score line. Stick the Basic Black mat to the card base.
- Cut random strips of Black Glitter card, Basic Black card and Pumpkin Pie card on the diagonal and in varying widths.
- Stick the strips across the Pumpkin Pie mat and trim the edges. Stick this mat to the card base.
- Using the Double Oval punch, punch a scalloped black oval and a plain white oval.
- Using the Playful Alphabet dies, die cut the word “Boo!” from both Black and Pumpkin Pie. The centres of the “o” will form part of the eyes.
- Stick the letters and the centre pieces together so they are offset and give a shadow.
- Stick the two pairs of ovals together to form the eyes and then stick the eyeball pieces in place.
- Position on the card front and glue in place.
- Position the “Boo” across the bottom of the card and glue in place.
- Stick the white insert to the inside of the card.

Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects

How Can I Help?
This fun creature is not at all scary. I don’t normally make many Halloween projects, although the celebrations are becoming more popular in the UK among the younger generations. Perhaps I’ll make another monster in Green so I have cards to send to both sets of Grandchildren.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can be of any help
Stay safe and stay well
