This slimline masculine Valentine’s card is a great project for your pizza loving sweetheart. It is my project for the latest Festive Friday Challenge.

The occasion we are celebrating with this latest challenge is indeed Valentine’s Dsy. With that theme in mind we came up with our Inspo list.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Slimline Masculine Valentine’s Card

As well as Stampin’ Up’s Supremely Awesome stamp set, I also used some Gilded Leafing, Gold embossing powder and gold foil on my card.

Creating the Card

Having created my slimline card, I lay a mask over the corner and tapped Versamark ink through it. I added Heat & Stick powder to the Versamark. Once heated, I then added the Gilded Leafing, rubbing it on with my fingers, before burnishing it with my sponge. This removes any excess flakes.

I repeated the process on the opposite corner.

Having cut a Basic White mat to stamp my Pizza Chef on, I wanted to give it a gold mat behind it. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to waste my gold foil, so I gutted the centre of my Gold foil to use for another project.

I stamped my chef in Versamark and heat embossed in gold, before colouring with Stampin’ Blends. i also stamped a small slice of Pizza and coloured it.

The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and then the Pizza part of the sentiment was stamped again in Versamark and heat embossed in gold. This was cut out and layered over the red on the main sentiment.

A large heart and some small hearts were punched out of poppy parade card using the Bee Builder punch. The large heart and small pizza slice were layered up with a bow of gold thread and the small hearts were scattered across the front of the card.

To finish, I stamped some small pizza slices in Poppy Parade onto a Basic White insert.
