Stencilled backgrounds on cards provide an economic and versatile way of creating eye-catching detail. This card has been created for the latest Festive Friday Challenge that is celebrating Father’s Day which is celebrated around the world on June 18th.
The design team take inspiration from the celebration and use it to create a list of elements to inspire your card and papercraft projects.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: blue, monochromatic, brads, masculine, plaid/checks, vehicle, die cuts
This week we are teaming up with Double Trouble, entering both challenges gives you double the chance of winning.
Their Thing 1 challenge is to create a masculine card. Thing 2 challenge is to enter our Festive Friday Challenge. Lastly, their Thing 3 challenge is to include a plaid/checker. Here’s the link to enter their challenge. Double Trouble Challenge Blog: https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/
Stencilled Backgrounds on Cards
This card features the Legendary Ride bundle and the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to create this monochromatic Father’s Day card.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Layering Details.
The background was created by using a blending brush to blend Night of Navy ink over the checked mask onto Misty Moonlight cardstock to create the background.
The motorbike, spanners and sentiment were all stamped onto Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. They have been layered up onto a Radiating Stitches Rectangle. The Radiating Stitches dies are a super versatile set that you can find in the Online Exclusives section of the online store.
The brads I have used were square white brads that I have coloured with a Stampin’ Blend marker.
To finish the card I have stamped a section of the motorbike onto a Basic White insert.
Let’s Hop

Great masculine card, Helen and I love the way you have the motorcycle just popping in on the inside. The monochromatic color scheme works so well. Fabulous card
