Today I am sharing with you some cards I created with the kit for The Chopped Challenge for June.
Chopped Challenge June 21
Every month, everyone who participates in the Chopped Challenge, wherever they are in the Stampin’ Up world, receives the same basic kit of supplies. They then add their own current Stampin’ Up resources and their creativity to produce a project. The projects are then brought together into a gallery at the end of the month and everyone is invited to vote for their favourite.
The basic kit that everyone received in June was:
- 1/2 Sheet of Night of Navy Cardstock
- 1/2 sheet of Smokey Slate Cardstock
- A Misty Moonlight Label me Fancy punched label
- A 4″ square of DSP from the Beauty of the Earth pack
- 8″ piece of Gray Granite ribbon
- 3 silver metallic pearls.
I took two kits and set out on my recent Live to create 2 cards to show how the Chopped Challenge works.
Card 1
This card used the Mountain Air stamp set and the Majestic Mountain dies to create a scene. I choose to use the side of the DSP that resemble a blue cloudy sky. The inks I used were Night of navy, Smokey Slate and Misty Moonlight, so that it all coordinated.
Card 2
This second card used the Love of Leaves stamp set and the beautiful matching Stitched Leaves Dies. In this card the patterned paper showed leaves and foliage in autumnal hues. I die cut the leaves in Cinnamon Cider, Misty moonlight and Cajun Craze to match the paper. I used the dotted lines die on the inside of the fold back card to give it some detail.

The monthly winner gets to choose the coloured cardstock for the following month and gets a month’s free entry into the challenge.
Taking Part in the Chopped Challenge
I am the Demonstrator who is administering the Chopped Challenge in the UK, but there are also demonstrators in Canada, The US and Australia.
