In the early 80’s I was a teenager, watching Top of the Pops, reading “Blue Jeans” and “Jackie” and recording the Top 40 on my tape player. It is unsurprising then, that as I was planning this post this was the soundtrack in my head:
This week in my lives I used the Sale-a-Bration bundle that consists of The Power of Hope stamp set and the Stone 3D embossing folder. I love this bundle and it gives an opportunity to create some fabulous projects. Here are a couple that I have already created with this.
Monday
On Monday morning we recreated one of the projects from the Sale-a-Bration brochure,
As well as the Power of Hope stamp set and the Stone 3D embossing folder, we also added in stamps from the Mountain Air stamp set. We did some stamping off to give us some more muted tones and the aqua painter was used to blend out the colour. This is such a fabulous sentiment.

Thursday
Thursday is the day when I take a forage into my imagination and use the inspiration from around us to create some exclusive projects.
This first card was inspired by a new class attendee at this week’s Created by you class. She produced some cards in this style using the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. It inspired me to use this card fold to create a card for this Live. Having created a side folding landscape card, I trimmed 7cm off the end and this is turned around to form the front panel.
I used my new Saddle Brown Stayzon ink pad to stamp the pagoda, which was then coloured with watercolour pencils.
The colour palette for this card was Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana
This second card is very different. I created a tri fold card by scoring at 9.9cm intervals along a piece of black A4 cardstock. The “feet” were created by using the everyday label punch, but only punching half a shape. The front panels were :
- Poppy Parade card – 18.5cm x 9.4cm
- Gold Foil – 18cm x 8.9cm (I gutted the centre of of the foil)
- Black card – 17.5cm x 8.4cm
The images were stamped in versamark and heat embossed in gold. If you manage to spot the (deliberate?) mistake, do pop it in a comment.
The greeting was from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. The perfect card for a special friend.

Supplies
As always, remember there are always benefits to shopping with me, so make your shopping list and if it comes to £90, you can pop this power of Hope bundle in your basket.
And here are the items I used.
