Today’s blog post brings you a two step stamping Geranium Card.
Two Step Stamping is the technique we are exploring is this month’ s Technique Tuesday Blog Hop, so I hope you will be inspired by all the different projects that have been created by Demonstrators in the Crafty Collaborations community.
Two Step Stamping Geranium Card
For my project I decided to use the Potted Geraniums Bundle. This photopolymer stamp and die bundle can be used to create two step geraniums as well as blooms using detailed dies.
i decided to use some more autumnal colours and teamed the stamps with the Rustic Harvest Designer Series papers.
The two tone effect in the pot and plant is easily created, largely due to the clever design of the stamps. All I needed to do was to combine some first and second generation stamping. Second generation stamping is when you stamp your image onto scrap paper first to give you a lighter colour. You could of course create a more variegated effect by using two different colours. The colours I used were Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler for the geranium and Cajun Craze for the pot. The sentiment was stamped in Crushed Curry onto a strip of Basic White card.
I die cut the flower heads to give them some dimension.
Having layered mats of Designer Series Paper on top of each other, I wrapped some Natural Finish Ribbon around the centre, before sticking the paper to a Basic White card base. The stamped mat was stuck over the ribbon and a sentiment strip added with dimensionals.
I used the Amber Gems from the Rustic Harvest Suite to embellish the card.

How Can I Help?
Geraniums, in lots of different colours, are such a big part of summer gardens here in the UK. I can see a pretty pink one from my window as I type. I love the detail that is achieved with these two step stamps. It is a beautiful bundle.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
