I always enjoy using a sketch to create cards and for this blog hop I had the perfect opportunity.
This is my first time hopping along with this group of Demonstrators and I am so pleased to be here.
This is the sketch we are using as our inspiration for our projects and I hope you will enjoy seeing all the creative interpretations on the hop.
My Projects Using A Sketch To Create Cards
I have had fun with two very different packs of Designer Series Paper for my projects for this hop. It illustrates how one sketch can lead you to very different results.
The first card is all about love with its hearts , ribbon and sparkle. It uses products from the new Sweet Talk Suite. The card combines Highland Heather and Blushing Bride with a pop of Real Red
The second card has a much more masculine theme and is created with the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper
UR Cute Card
As well as the mats of Designer Series Paper, this card includes a panel that has been embossed with one of the folders from the Dotty Hearts duo. The die cut panel was cut from the Hippo Dies and was then stamped in Highland Heather ink with a heart stamp from the Sweet Talk suite. The Real Red Faux Linen is fabulous to work with and I have used it to provide my banner elements. To finish, some die cut hearts were added and some of the beautiful new iridescent rhinestones.
Hey Sports Fan
This Hey Sports Fan suite may not instantly appeal to a UK audience, but I hope this card illustrates that there are some really useful elements in it. The paper pack includes a good selection of generic masculine papers and I have used a selection to create my layers. The Night of Navy panel on the top was created by cutting one of the large ticket elements from the paper and using the reverse. The ticket that I used had this sentiment piece as its “tear off” portion. There is a great twine collection in this suite and I have used a double bow of the Poppy Parade/White twine behind my die cut stitched star.
