On this post I have been using the Butterfly Kisses Suite and using die cuts to create a textured background.
The Suite
This bright, vibrant, fun suite jumps off the page, begging you to get creative with it.
It consists of a Photopolymer Stamp and Die Bundle which is made up of butterfly wings and bodies and also accessorising elements. These are not delicate, lifelike images, but fun geometrical shapes and designs.
Let’s Add Colour
Alongside this bundle, there is also a 6” x 6” stack of Designer Series Paper. As well as the bright butterflies, there are also florals and a great selection of background papers.
The colours in the papers are fresh and zesty and include two of the new In Colors.
Lastly, there are these Fun Flowers Resin Shapes which coordinate with the papers and make a great addition to your projects.
Using Die Cuts to Create a Textured Background
For this monochromatic card, firstly a variety of detailed butterfly wings have been die cut from Parakeet Party cardstock, along with butterfly bodies and a strip of the flowers.
These die cuts have then been stuck all over a piece of 14.4cm x 10cm/4” x 5 ¼” Parakeet Party cardstock, trimming off any overhanging pieces. This mat is then stuck to a standard Basic White card base.
A banner of Designer Series paper is cut using the Stylish Shaped Dies before being stuck across the centre of the card front.. A square of Basic White is then cut using the same set of dies and stamped in Parakeet Party ink. A bow of In Color twine is stuck behind the stitched square with a glue dot, before the square is added to the card front with dimensionals.
I am sure you are going to want to use these gorgeous butterflies in so many of your projects. They are playful enough for Children’s cards, but can also be adapted for so many occasions.
