For today’s post I have created a card demonstrating using fine tip glue for 3D effects.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating National Honey Bee Day, which in the US is the 3rd Saturday of August, but here in the UK it isn’t celebrated until 21st October.

We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

My project used: Black yellow, die cuts, ink blending, bees, honeycomb. bee sentiment, flowers.

Using Fine Tip Glue For 3D Effects

I used both the Meant to Bee Bundle and the Bee My valentine stamp set to create this project.

You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.

The honeycomb image was stamped onto the background mat of the card. i first coloured it with a watercolor pencil and then added some of the Fine Tip Glue to a few of the hexagons. Once dry these leave a shiny, raised finish.

A stamped and die cut bee was added, along with his wings, to an ink blended Hexagon with a Black frame. Both the hexagons and the frames are created with the dies from the Meant to Bee Bundle.

To ensure the frame and hexagon remained together and to raise them up, I places my dimensionals so they overlapped the two.

I finished by adding some die cut flowers, a fussy cut sentiment and a bow of yellow twine.

Let’s Hop

I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects’

How Can I Help?

I had recently used the same bundle to create this monochromatic Darling Duckling card for an Insta Hop. The paper, from the 2025-2027 paper stack, had a diagonal slice cut from the centre and flipped, to show both sides of the paper.

These bees are so jolly and this fabulous sentiment is great for scrapbooking as well as card making.

We love to create these projects to share with you, but we love it even more when you share your projects with us. I hope you will be inspired to join the Festive Friday Challenge and share what you have created, inspired by our Inspo List.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.

Meanwhile stay safe and stay well
