For today’s post I have created a card using patterned papers that look textured.

This card is my contribution to the Design Team’s selection for the latest Festive Friday Challenge, which is celebrating Earth Day.
We have used this occasion to come up with a list of elements that we call our Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Using Patterned Papers That Look Textured

For this project I have used products from the Botanical Textures Suite. A bumper Suite with 2 packs of designer Series paper, a stamp and die bundle, a fabulous embossing folder as well as ribbon and embellishmenys.
The Woven Textured pack of patterned papers was a perfect starting point for this project. As well as using neutral, earthy colours, the designs feature lots of basket weave, linen look and burlap papers.
I used these papers in the background of my card. I love this design of card. It is so simple , but effective. Simply cut a 7cm / 2 3/4″ strip from the front panel of a side opening card and then twist that piece to create the horizontal panel of the front of the card. Decorate with your choice of papers and images.
For my card, I added Early Espresso splatters to the linen effect paper on the inside panel of the card. The front flap used a dark basket weave pattern and the horizontal panel features burlap.
I then stamped and fussy cut the leaves I had stamped in Early Espresso and Pecan Pie inks. These came from the Textured Notes stamp set. The little die cut label was created using both the stamps and dies from the Textured Notes bundle. A double bow of Linen thread was added underneath this sentiment panel.
To finish I used the embellishments from the Botanical Textures Suite – the Neutral Matte dots. I picked the Pecan Pie ones.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects’
