Instructions
- Fold the card base in half along the score line and fold.
- Stick the basic Black mat to the card base.
- Stamp the poppies and leaves around the edge of the watercolor paper and heat emboss with black embossing powder.
- Squeeze a drop of Real Red and Mossy Meadow ink into a suitable container, or onto a plastic/glass surface. Using the water painter and doing one image at a time, flood the inside of the embossed poppy image with water. Pick up a drop of ink on the end of the brush and drop into the water. add more colour as necessary until your image is filled with colour. Next work on another flower that isn’t touching the one you’ve just completed. Continue to add colour to all the flowers. Then add Mossy Meadow to the leaves in the same way. Leave to one side to dry. You can use a heat tool if you would like, but be careful not to push colour over the edges of your images.
- Once your ink is dry, add some splatters of Real Red using the thin water painter.
- I trimmed around the bottom right poppy to give the mat some shape, before sticking this to the card base.
- Stamp the greeting onto some Basic Black card and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
- Stick to the card front with dimensionals. Add some Matte Black Dots.
- Stamp a poppy and leaves on the Basic White insert using Memento ink and stick to the inside of the card.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
How Can I Help?
As you make your way around this hop, hopefully you will find lots of ideas for things you can do with those small bottles of Stampin’ Up Ink refill. It is such a good idea to always order your refill every time you get a new colour ink pad. Not only does it ensure an ink pad that is always ready for stamping, it also gives you an excuse to try lots of different techniques.
If I can be of any help, don’t hesitate to contact me
