I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of this International Highlights, Top Ten Winners Blog Hop. It is a privilege to be able to share my projects with you and I can’t wait to visit the other pages in the hop and be inspired by the wonderful creativity of the other Demonstrators from around the world.
Make sure you grab yourself a cuppa and follow the links below and leave a comment on the pages while you are there. It is such a joy to have feedback and to share the crafty love.
I had a Stamp-a-Stack class this week, using the “Friend Like You” bundle. We created 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs. As the class came to an end and we were clearing away the scraps of card, we realised that rather than throw away the leftover paper from the die cutting, there was potential for another pair of cards.
We had cut 2 strips of the bulrushes die from each side of a piece of black cardstock for this Black Ice technique card. The negative piece that was left behind was just crying for a strip of background card to make it pop.
We tried some gold foil, which looked quite classy. However as we pondered, we felt that some harvest tones behind it would be effective. As the pigment sprinkles were out on the table, I used them to create this background on a piece of shimmery white card.
I added some Basic Black and Mango Melody cardstock to frame the image and die cut some greetings from the Well Written die set and stuck them all to a side opening Whisper White card.
It is amazing what you can achieve from some cardstock that was almost on its way to the recycling bin.
It would be mean to not share the other cards that we created for the class
