Having a play with one of my new stamp sets today to create this appreciation card for Kylie’s International Blog Highlights, which I endeavour to join monthly.

My Card
For my card, I decided to use the new stamp set “Lovely You”. It is bursting with all these small floral/foliage images that can be combined to create great cards. They are also incredibly useful when you just need a little “something” on a project. I can also see them being used for One Sheet wonders – but that is for another day.
For today’s card I opted for a subtle colour palette, using Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and So Saffron. The crinkled seam binding and the basic pearls were both coloured with the Light Calypso Coral Stampin Blend and the same pen was used to add splatters in the background. I had imported the little splatter stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set to add in some So Saffron spots around the flowers.
The labels for the greetings were both cut from the new tasteful Labels die set. Another set that is never going to be far from my die cutting machine. Oh so useful.
Isn’t it fun to be playing with new toys. And there are so many more still waiting on my wish list. But for today, I enjoyed creating with this one. It is lovely indeed.
