Let’s tell someone “You’re kind of a Big Deal!”

It is time to get hopping with my fellow demonstrators from Kylie’s Training Group. This hop never has a specific theme, so this year I decided to use the products that i have been working with over the last few weeks.

My Kind of a Big Deal Project

Over the last few weeks I have been adding a whale load of inspiration into a group I have set, which is focusing on the Whale of a Time Suite. I decided to use the stamps and ink I had out on my desk to create another card for this blog hop.

For this card I used some low tack tape to mask off the edges of the central panel on a piece of Whisper White card. I stamped the different sea weed stamps from the “Whale Done” stamp set in Granny Apple Green, Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. Taking one of my sponge brayers, I added Pool Party ink to the panel.

The Whales were stamped in Pretty Peacock with some Just Jade sponged onto the top of the whale. These are easily punched out with the coordinating Whale Builder punch.

The “You’re kind of a big deal” greeting was stamped onto a die cut whisper white circle, which was then backed onto a circle of Granny Apple Green card. I, of course, cut the Granny Apple Green circle from the centre of the mat of card, that is layered behind the Whisper White stamped layer. Any opportunity to make the most of my cardstock.

I used a length of Braided Linen trim behind the greeting circle, before adding it with dimensionals.. Having added the whales (the bottom one stuck directly to the card and the top one raised up with dimensionals), I finished with some sequins from the Whale of a Time sequins collection.

The card base is created from Thick Whisper White cardstock.
