It has been exactly 7 years ago today that I ticked the box, chose my Starter Kit and became an Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator. A lot has changed in those seven years. I was still working as a Family Support Worker at the time. My job was rewarding, but draining and my crafting hobby was the thing that filled me up. My long term goal was to see where my journey with Stampin’ Up! would take me and whether it would be possible to turn my hobby and passion into my full time occupation.

Just under a year later, the charity I worked for had to close due to lack of funding. Now I had to take seriously the opportunities that Stampin’ Up! gave me. And what opportunities they have been.

Adventures Galore

My travels have taken me to Brussels, Amsterdam and Dortmund. I have made friends with fellow demonstrators all around the world. My creativity and blogging means I am now part teams of demonstrators creating tutorial bundles and challenges. I go Live to crafters around the world. I have a You Tube Channel, a website. But most importantly I have formed close friendships with lots of my customers and team members. I love what I do.

I enjoy being able to teach and share my knowledge of card making with others.

I also love to share what I do. The teaching element of my job is one I hold as a great privilege and joy. It is wonderful to be able to pass on my experience and the tips and techniques I have learnt along the way. There is great joy for me in providing people with a class or tutorial which gives them pleasure. For so many people their crafting is a place of rest, joy and healing. What a privilege to be able to provide people with those opportunities.

So as I celebrate this anniversary – of course with a card – I look forward to all the adventures and opportunities that await me as I journey on. You are welcome to join me.

My Happy Anniversary Project

As it is my intention to carry on with Stampin’ Up! for a long time yet, I thought it would be appropriate to create an Infinity card for today’s project.

I have used the Forever Greenery Designer Series paper to decorate my card. These gorgeous papers are still on special offer until Saturday. Along with the others in the offer, they are available at 15% off.

If you would like to see the card being made, you can see that on the You Tube Video.

Happy Anniversary Supplies

I hope you have enjoyed hearing a little bit of my story and that you are inspired to play with an infinity card.

Do share your creations with me. i would love to see them.

Stay safe and stay well

Helen xx
