A Colour Challenge really caught my eye and imagination this week. I used it as the inspiration for my Facebook Live on Friday.
The Colour Inkspiration Challenge is hosted on Facebook and because it doesn’t require you to have a blog, it is accessible to everyone. You simply post your entries onto the Facebook discussion feed.
My Colour Challenge Projects.
The colours in this challenge are:
- Misty Moonlight
- Rich Razzleberry
- Pear Pizzazz
- Gorgeous grape
- Whisper White.
You are also allowed to add some neutrals and metallics.
I wanted to use the colours to create 2 very different cards. A floral card and a Christmas card.
For my Christmas Card, I heat embossed the baubles before punching them out with the coordinating punch. The holly leaves were stamped in the corners of some shimmery white card stock with Pear Pizzazz ink, and then coloured with Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry. To finish, I added some Pear pizzazz splatters and a greeting in Misty Moonlight.
The card base was Misty Moonlight and finishing touches were added with some Gilded Gems and some Gold Thread.
My Floral Card,using the Ornate Style stamp set, was watercoloured. I mixed some of the colours to get some different shades. The small flowers were a mix of Whisper White ink and Rich Razzleberry, with Gorgeous Grape highlights. The darker leaves were created by adding some Misty moonlight to some Pear Pizzazz.
The border, top and bottom, on the background were stamped in Whisper White ink and the greeting was heat embossed in white. The card base for this card is Rich Razzleberry.
