Welcome to this blog post featuring a masculine thank you card. This has been created for the new Festive Friday Challenge.
The theme for this challenge is International Wetland Day which is coming up on February 2nd. The team put our heads together to come up with our Inspo list, using this celebration as our inspiration.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!
My project used: Birds, Trees, Green, Brown, Masculine, Blue
A Masculine Thank You Card
I decided to use the beautiful tree from the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle to create this card. The stamparatus was really useful to be able to repeatedly stamp the image and get a strong image.
Instructions
The tent fold card base was created from Thick Basic White cardstock. Three strips of paper were cut using different designs from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. These formed the woodgrain layer, the row of trees layer and the sky layer. I stuck these strips to an Early Espresso layer and then stamped some birds in Early Espresso ink. This stamp came from the Sailing Home stamp set. A length of the very tactile, faux suede ribbon was wrapped around this layer before sticking it to the card base.
For the large tree , I took the tree stamp image from the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set and using my Stamparatus, I stamped it three times with Early Espresso ink. This gave a strong contrast between the stamped silhouette and the negative portion. This was backed onto another mat of Early Espresso and mounted with dimensionals. The fabulous layered sentiment comes from the Amazing Thanks die set. I love the fact that you get the detailed sentiment and the shadow piece to sit behind it.
The finishing touch was some of the Brushed Metallic dots.
The inside of the card has a strip of the wood grain paper added to coordinate with the card front.

Love this very handsome card. Great choice of paper and the additional stamping you did on them. I always forget to do that.
