Today on my blog it is all about celebrating kindness as we look at this new Festive Friday Challenge.

The celebration behind this challenge is World Kindness Day that is coming up on November 13th. The celebration inspires the items on the Inspo List.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge.  Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all!  The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list! 

1. Create a new project inspired by our challenge. You can create any project as long as it includes at least three items from the festivity Inspiration List.
2. You may enter up to a maximum of 3 times as long as the creations are new. 
3. Entries will be disqualified if they are entered into more than three challenges (including ours). Why? We want people to find inspiration from our challenge, not the other way around. Creating something and then finding challenges where it fits does not match up with the spirit of our challenge.
4. If you have a blog, you should include the challenge badge or the challenge board in your post and link back to our challenge.
5. If you are posting in a gallery (like SplitCoast, Pinterest, or any other social media platform), make sure you mention our challenge with a link back to the challenge and use the hashtag #festivefridaychallenge and the hashtag found on the challenge (#FF0071)

My Celebrating Kindness Project

I can never just keep to three items from the Inspo list. I’m like a child in a sweet shop. For this project I used:

• hearts
• pearls
• die cuts
• patterned paper
• ribbon
• sentiment
• world globe.

I chose the subtle’s 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to give me my colour palette and to provide some pattern. Using the die cut heart border in the background, I cut it in half and expanded it out to fill the width of the card. The gap was tucked out of sight behind the stitched circle topper and the hearts that popped out from the border were used as additional decoration. The swirl of ribbon is the pool party shimmer ribbon – so pretty. Those little pearls that are scattered around the die cut globe and stand were coloured with my dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.

Looking for a sentiment about kindness, I found this one in the Field Journal set. I teamed this on the inside of my card with the greeting from the Beautiful World stamp set.

I was really pleased with how this card turned out. It was nice to use a very different colour scheme with this Beautiful World bundle of products.

Now it is time to create your own project for the challenge. Just remember these 3 things:

• Incorporate at least 3 things from the Inspo List
• Don’t link your project to any more than 3 challenges, including ours.
• You can submit upto 3 entries in each challenge.
