For today’s project I have been having creative fun with pearlized enamel effects.
It is time for a new Challenge with Festive Friday and this time we are celebrating Halloween. It was with this in mind that we brought together ideas for our Inspo list.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project in our card making and paper crafting challenge. Incorporate THREE of the items in your project and link up! And guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about the theme at all! The selected festivity is just a unique way to come up with a fun and interesting inspiration list!

Creative Fun With Pearlized Enamel Effects
As I explained on an earlier post with Halloween cards, I don’t have any of the current Halloween sets, because I don’t really create cards for myself or classes – although there are some cute sets. So this means thinking outside the box. I recently saw a video with ghosts being made from PVA glue, so was inspired to create one with the white and black Pearlized Enamel Effects
Ghostly Goings On
I drew the outline of the ghost on some Basic White card and then filled it in. I was happy with the swirled effect, because it added to the shimmery, ethereal effect. I used the black enamel to add eyes. I left it to one side to dry completely, before cutting it out. Using the Alphabest stamp and die bundle, I heat embossed the sentiment in white.
I added some Pumpkin Pie checked paper to a Basic Black card base. Metallic Mesh ribbon was wrapped around the centre Basic Black panel before adding my ghost and sentiment pieces. the pumpkin pie stars were dies cut from the Decorated Pines dies.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects

Oh my gosh…you are so creative! What a perfect little ghost! The plaid paper is a great background, while the silver metallic mesh adds the perfect sparkle. Great job! Have a wonderful weekend!
Helen, I just love your card and how you used the pearlized effects.
I don’t have any Halloween sets this year either, Helen, but your card is darling! Love the ghost!
Helen, I love the scrabble tile-type sentiment! Fabulous. Oh.. and your ghostie… looks as exhausted as I do when I finished trying to fold a fitted sheet! Fabulous card
