I am sharing with you today a fancy tri-fold birthday card.

The share it Sunday blog hop comes from the Crafty Collaborations community and is an opportunity for demonstrators from around the world to share something they are currently working on.
Fancy Tri Fold Birthday Card

A vast majority of my card making these days is either creating for classes, or for blog posts and design teams. It was, therefore, really lovely to be able to spend some time this week on a personal project.
My dear friend turns 60 this weekend. A milestone a lot of my friends ( and myself) will be hitting over the year. i wanted to create a bit of a fancy card for her, so I started, as many of us do, scrolling Pinterest for ideas.
I came cross a design by a demonstrator called Annette Sullivan at Lavender Thoughts. She has created some excellent instructions in both metric and imperial, so creating this card was a bit like attending a class someone else had prepared. A real treat for me!
Wildflower Birthday Suite

I may have used Annette’s instructions for the basic card fold, but from there I went off into a world of Wildflower Birthdays using the suite of products.
I adore the paper is this patterned paper pack. The delicate pastels, the gold foiling and the pop out die cuts all make it an absolute go to for special birthday cards. I contrasted the floral design around the edge, with scalloped stripes across the centre. I added a large birthday cake, a gold foil banner and an arrangement of flowers and leaves. Both the happy birthday greeting and the die cut gold foil numbers were created using the coordinating birthday celebrations bundle. It was embellished with some twisted gold thread ( I am so sad tis is retiring) and some of the Party Dots that are also to be found in the Wildflower Birthday Suite.
To finish I added a panel to the back of the card to write my greeting on.
The card will fold flat to go into a standard envelope
I thoroughly enjoyed my hour playing with these products and creating this card. I hope it gives as much joy to my friend.
You can see a full list of the products I have used at the end of the post, including links to my online shop.
Let’s Hop
I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
