I have created a Penny Slider card for my Design Team project for this week’s Festive Friday Challenge Design Team. The celebration this month is National Cat Day, which falls later in the month on October 29th.

As always we have provided you with a great inspo list and all you need to do is choose at 3 items from that list.

Your card does not have to reflect the celebration of National Cat Day. There doesn’t need to be a fur ball in sight.

Now it is time to create your own project for the challenge. Just remember these 3 things:

• Incorporate at least 3 things from the Inspo List
• Don’t link your project to any more than 3 challenges, including ours.
• You can submit upto 3 entries in each challenge.

My Penny Slider Card

For my project, I picked these items from the Inspo list:

• Cats
• Baker’s twine
• Fish
• Interactive Card
• Stripes
• Circles

My cute little ball of Baker’s Twine rolls around the track created by die cutting 2 circles from my card front. I have used the foam adhesive strips to create the track on the back that the penny rolls around in. The greeting, which comes from the “Daisy Lane” stamp set, provides a stopper.

The papers and the fussy cut cat, all come from the Playful Pets designer series paper pack and the twine is from the coordinating Playful Pets Trim Combo. How grumpy is that cat? I love the combination of the striped paper and the die cut circles. You can see the twirling ball of yarn in action in this little video
