A Reverse Easel Card and a embossed card with cotton paper both feature in this blog post.

For this blog hop we are using the beautiful Eden Garden Collection to create the projects we are sharing. The stamps and dies will both be featured in the January-June mini catalogue, but the Specialty papers, the Cotton paper and the Garden Gems are only available while supplies last.

Eden Garden Projects

During my recent Live, I used the Eden’s garden Collection to create two cards. The collection has two basic colours in its colour palette, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. These are complimented by the addition of gold foiling. This makes this paper perfect for your Festive projects, but is beautiful for so much else.

My Reverse Easel Card Project

The first was this reverse easel card. After the Live had ended I decided to add 5 of the small die cut foliage pieces to the stamped image to give it some dimension, as it looked a little flat.

These reverse easel cards are so simple to create, but have real mantle-piece appeal. They seem to almost float.

The second card used the Cotton paper. I embossed onto it with gold embossing powder and then tore the edges. By using a waterpainter to dampen the edges you get a soft fluffy edge as the fibres break apart.

I also used the cotton paper to create the tassle dangling down the side.
