This card uses Soft Pastels and Silhouettes along with Stampin’ Up’s Heron Habitat Bundle to create a moonlit card.

The theme of this month’s Stampin’ Dreams blog hop is Throwback Thursday, so I looked through my blog posts from a year ago for inspiration.

I have used this project from August 2021 as my inspiration.

My Soft Pastels and Silhouettes Project

I used the dies from the Heron Habitat Bundle to create the silhouette images of the heron, grasses and bulrushes. The wavy piece at the bottom of the card was also created with a die from the bundle.

The background to the card was created by drawing around the inside of a circle die and then adding colour with Soft Pastels and blending the colour out with my finger. If you don’t like getting messy hands you can use sponge daubers or blending brushes instead. This blended mat was backed with Basic Black card.

The sentiment was stamped onto some Basic White card, backed with Basic Black card.

The card was finished with some Black & White Gingham ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones.

The card front was then attached to a Thick Basic White card base.
