When you have gorgeous spooky Designer Series paper, you are always grateful for a reason to use it.
The theme for this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop is “It was a Dark and Stormy Night”, so here was my perfect reason for digging into my “Magic in this Night” Designer Series paper.
My Spooky Project.
I wanted to use the gorgeous papers to create a stormy night background. The black night sky features a background print of bats. Onto this paper I added a sponged circle of Whisper White Craft ink and with my sponge I added some wisps of white across the sky, to give a misty feel.
The Blackberry Bliss strip of paper features a spider print. I tore the top of the paper and sponged it with Tuxedo Black memento ink. I repeated this tearing and sponging with the bottom Pretty Peacock layer.
My Basic Black die cut tree was from the Sweet Silhouette dies. The tips of the leaves had some Whisper White ink sponged onto them to reflect the moon. Black Glitter paper was used to die cut the letters with the Playful Alphabet Dies. With these fantastic dies you can add any sentiment you like to a project.
We just needed a few finishing touches, so a fussy cut bat from the paper pack and a few iridescent pearls in the tree were added.
The Magic in the Night Designer Series paper is obviously perfect for this spooky card, but there are also some gorgeous floral prints in it that mean you can use it for all sorts of projects. You can check out another project here. And don’t forget that during the month of October, you can get this pack with 15% off.
