Sometimes we all need something to get our creative juices flowing and a sketch layout can be one of those things.
You can take the basic outline, patterns and layout of a sketch layout and add in your favourite products and soon a card is born.
Of course, there is nothing to say that you must stick strictly to the sketch. Turn it around; change the shapes; add different textures and embellishments. The sketch is simply the springboard for your imagination.
Here’s My Project for A Sketch Layout
The sunflower card was created from this sketch. It is a standard sized card base, created from Cinnamon Cider cardstock. The base layer and the two larger squares are taken from the beautiful “Flowers for Every Season” DSP and cut with the “Layering Squares” dies. The smaller square is some more Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
The smaller sunflower from the “Celebrate Sunflower” stamp set was stamped, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and die cut with the coordinating sunflower die. A swirl of braided linen thread was added behind the sunflower. The three little banners were cut from the striped paper used for the larger square. The Cinnamon Cider sentiment banner was embossed with the Pinewood planks 3D embossing folder and topped with a sentiment from the “Celebrate Sunflower” stamp set.
The final little embellishments were the addition of 3 of the small wooden dots from the “In Good Taste” elements.
