On a recent live I enjoyed all the creative possibilities of creating cards these Wedding Cards with embossing using the Love & happiness Bundle bundle from Stampin’ Up.
The bundle consists of a photopolymer stamp and a coordinating hybrid embossing folder and die set. This beautiful embossing folder not only adds a gorgeous floral detail to the cardstock, but also cleverly incorporates the die within it to be able to cut out an embossed aperture piece.
My Cards With Welcoming Windows Projects
This first card uses embossed vellum for the front panel. Die cut hearts and flowers are then added, along with some ribbon. A soft colour palette of Petal Pink and Smoky Slate gives a really elegance. This colour palette could, however, be changed to match the colours of the wedding.
This second card embosses some Designer Series paper from the Friendly Hello Designers Series paper. This is part of a stamp and paper bundle that is one of the current Sale-a-bration offering. This paper is combined with a second pattern of paper from this pack and an embossed, spritzed, layered and coloured toilet paper heart.
By spritzing and layering the toilet paper, the finished heart has the feel of handmade paper and gives great texture to the project.
I have also added some Gorgeous Grape ribbon and some Pastel Pearls.
As well as a second, darker toilet paper heart and an embossed vellum heart, I also experimented with adding Gilded Leafing with Versamark and Heat and Stick powder.
